I'm back! Here's a story from this story too funny not to blog. So my best friend Stacey came over with her kids Anniston and Jace. Well, Kezia and Anniston were having so much fun outside digging in the dirt. Stacey and I were in the kitchen making dinner and peeking on our girls every few minutes. Stacey looked out and said, "Ah this is so cute, I need to get a picture." So I grabbed my camera and we went out. I saw the girls in front of the retaining wall where there is plenty of dirt and flowers. We said, "Girls say cheese!" When they turned around we realized it wasn't as cute as we thought because they had their buckets full of picked flowers. As soon as they saw our faces they knew they were in trouble and Kezia quickly dumped her's out on the lawn. However, look at these pictures and tell me how hard it was to act like we were made. ;-)

Knottsberry Farm!

Welcome to Knott's Berry Farm!! Another fun day of riding rides. Here is the gang!

Boy this was a very exciting riding. I think it went maybe 5 miles an hour...maybe.

Keiza loved riding the choo-choo train with Charlesse and Kearstynn and Kallee.

And riding the airplane with Kearstynn.

This was the funniest thing ever, that's why I put this picture on there. Click on it and check out the faces off Charlesse (the oldest girl) and Millieah ( the little girl). I took this right as the ride started going up. Sheer TERROR!!!

I put this one on because look at the other cousins just having a blast and Charlesse and Millieah freaking out. It was hillarious!!Kezia just hanging out.

In May we went to California with my sister Sareena and Anjelena and their families. We had a good time and Kezia loved it all! Being with her cousins was a little piece of heaven to her.

This was a real fun day we spent with Kiana, Spencer, and Roger Osborn. These two boys are Kezia's best friends. We rode tracks ("the train") down to the church museum and then went to temple square.

That didn't workout because my mom took forever getting ready and by the time we got there 10 minutes into taking pictures this huge storm came blowing in. Okay friends and family,

Kezia and Daddy made a snowman. Kezia was so happy and so excited that it was so big. The funniest thing was a few days after they built it, we had a few warm days. Kezia looked out our bag door windows and all of a sudden said, "Oh Noooo mommy, the snowman. Oh NOOOO!" Yes it had fallen and she was devestated!

Valentines Day!

Valentines Day was really fun! As a kid there were two things that my family did. One was when we delivered Valentines to people we would put it on their doorstep and then knock and run. The second tradition that I love was on Valentines Day there would be a knock at the door and when we opened it there would be our favorite box of cereal. The Valentine fairy would always leave each of us our own favorite cereal. Mine was always Fruity Pebbles. It was so great because we never got that good cereal except on Valentines Day. So, here are a few pictures of these two traditions with my own kids.

Kezia is my Chocolate kid. She loves chocolate and was so excited to open the door and find this big "I Love You" chocolate from Grandma Millie. She also loved the Tinkerbell valentine card as you can see she is holding it tight.

Kessa was stoked about her cereal. :-) Okay, Daddy just got this box down to be funny but it was so funny because she was so happy when he gave it to her.

Our friend Paul Otteson had a birthday in January and wanted to go to this bouncy gym. It was a great idea because the kids loved it! Kezia still talks about going there. I don't know who had more fun Kezia or Bret.

Christmas was real fun this year. Kezia understood who Santa was and loved to get presents. As we came down the stairs and she saw the presents she ran to the tree giggling! She wouldn't let go of her presents while opening another present. It was funny! She loved showing her sister what she got and would say, "Mine baby. Okay!" Here are some pictures from Christmas.

This last Saturday we thought it would be fun to go bowling. Kezia enjoyed it for a while and then had fun playing with the computer, jumping off the little stair, and playing with the balls when they would come up out of the shoot. Here are some pictures of Kezia's first time bowling. Here she is wanting to carry Dad's heavy ball...of course by herself. Good thing Daddy's hands are big.

It's been a while since we went bowling together and I could actually bowl. Being pregnant I wasn't able to bowl last time. It was really fun!!

I bowled a pretty good game...180. I would get so mad because I'd bowl 2 strikes in a row and then on my 3rd the ball would be perfect and only 1 pin would stay up. I hate that!!!

Kezia had the funnest time with Daddy's bowling shoes as we were putting our regular shoes back on. She even started walking down a lane. Luckily, dad had saw her before she got too far down the lane.

This is just one night of snow. Boy did it dump on us!! Here are two great pictures to show you how much snow we got. Kids STILL had to go to school for all you in North Carolina who get to stay home if there is a chance of 1/4 of snow fall. ;-)

Halloween was real fun this year...except for the rain!! Kezia understood the concept and loved to dress up in her costumes...yes costumes. She had this cauldron filled with dry ice and poured Sunny D in it. The kids loved it!!!

Bret and I carved pumpkins. This Frankenstein was mine that took forever to carve. This is it with light so you can see how it was carved.

However, when you light it up it makes it worth the work. Mine took first place at the ward party.

Yesterday, my best friend Stacey, called me and asked if I would take their family picture. Because I think it is way fun, I told her that I'd love too! Luckily, it wasn't raining or snowing. On Tuesday my little girl Kezia turned two. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. I really like this age even though there are some tough times that require a lot of patience. A few days before her birthday i heard her singing something, so i listened carefully and heard her singing "Happy Birthday to You!" over and over. It was funny! I'm not even sure where she learned it.Anyway, Kezia was spoiled by her friends that's for sure! I was proud of the cake I made, so of course, I had to take a picture of it! Here are just a few pictures of her party.

Kezia is a Daddy's girl. She always has to be next to him when he is working. Sometimes Bret gets frustrated because she takes his tools that he is using. These two little girls are my life. I love it when you get great pictures even when you don't set up for them. They're just kind of accident pictures. That's what these are of Kessa. I just snapped some and they turned out pretty good.

Welcome Kessa Rachel!!

Kessa Rachel Wilson was born on August 15th at 12:41pm. We are so glad that she is finally here! Here are some pictures so you can all see the experience of this day. The first picture is a picture of me right before heading off to the hospital.

Kessa was 8 pounds 10 ounces and 22 inches long. The nurses weighed her 3 times because they could not believe she weighed that much. It was funny! Labor was 4 hours long and she came out in only 3 pushes.

She has dark hair but we are all waiting to see if it goes light like Kezia's did. I'm hoping it stays dark.

This is the first time Kezia saw Kessa...baby! She was so happy for a few minutes and then just wanted to play around in the room.

Grandma Ellett got Kezia a little baby of her own and she loves it!

At home Kezia loves giving Kessa loves! Kisses and hugs all day long. When Kessa starts crying Kezia says, "okay? Its okay!" It's really cute!

Here are some random pictures of Kezia. She is growing up so fast and makes Bret and I laugh every day!!

Her first full pigtails. I pulled out my camera and she started posing like this and saying, "Cheese!" I was laughing. She never poses.

Bret was putting her jammies on and didn't undo the button on her shirt. She thought it was so fun and funny to walk around with her shirt on her head. When we tried to take it off, she would freak out. Me, Bret and Tyona were laughing so hard!

This is a very hard stage to get good pictures because she always wants to be moving, so when I get a pretty good one I love it!

Kezia loves to color and she loves listening to music with the headphones. I always think, "Boy, were you born at the right time." My favorite is when she starts dancing with them on.

4th of July!!

Bret was fixing the sprinklers and Kezia was playing with the PVC pipe. Little did she know that she was about to get soaked. If you look you can see the sprinkler just about ready to drench her.

She came running to her dad and laughed as soon as she was in his arms...but not until then. I think she started laughing because Bret and I were laughing so hard.

Okay, so I have told my sister that I would put up pictures of Kezia's room with the bunk-beds Bret made. Here are some pictures of just a couple things I have done in there so far.

I am not a huge "Princess" fan as you all probably know, but when I found this quote I thought "Ok, I can put Princess up in her room."

San Diego Wild Life Zoo

The Wild Life Zoo was pretty cool. Many of the animals were out in this big field as if they were out in the open and not all caged up. If you pay a little extra you can even feed them and get really close. We didn't pay the extra but Kezia loved this tour.

I thought this was such a funny sight. Here you have the rhino and a bunch of antelope just watching it and taunting it.

This is a white rhino and I believe they said the only one in America. Here's Kezia looking to her dad for an explanation of what the heck that thing is.

They had a little kid area with mist machines. Kezia loved just hanging out on this turtle.

She loved the petting zoo and this one had reindeer instead of goats. Kezia was following this reindeer when it decided to relieve itself. However, Kezia had no idea what was going on. Bret and I just laughed!

Here she is just taking a little break waiting for the bird show to start.

Kezia wanted nothing to do with being inside the stroller, she wanted to push it the whole time. Boy, did that make things a lot slower!!

Sea World

I know that this trip was in May but Kezia is gone with her dad so I have a few spare minutes to hurry and post the rest of our trip. Here we are at Sea World. We all had fun. It was perfect weather and not very crowded. Here is Kezia touching and then holding a star fish.

As we were getting ready to leave there was this grassy part that Kezia liked to play on. Then they put on some music and Kezia loved it. She went to town dancing!! Bret and I just sat back and watched laughing the whole time!

San Diego Zoo!

On our trip, we went to the San Diego Zoo. Wow! What an amazing zoo!! The weather was perfect for us and Kezia had a real fun time pointing at all the animals. Most of the pictures that I took are not very good because all I could ever get was the back of Kezia's head. I'm sure all of you with kids understand!

This was one of my favorite animals. It was really neat looking and just kept pacing back and forth right in front of us.

I can't remember what this animal is but it was funny just sitting up like that peeking over at his neighbor.

This was a really cute bench and at first Kezia was afraid to even stand on it. Luckily, I was able to snap a decent picture.

They had a little petting zoo for little kids. Kezia would not let go of Bret to pet the animals until a few other little kids did it. Then she got the courage to try it. After that we couldn't get her to leave. She just kept trying to feed them. The funny thing was when we got home and went to pet a cat, she picked up some weeds and was trying to feed the cat.

We went on a little vacation to San Diego. This was Kezia's first time ever seeing a beach and so much water. Here are some pictures of us at Mission Beach.

This picture was my favorite! The water had come up pretty far and got Kezia's feet all wet. It scared her and she would not walk with her sandals on after that. She had a blast walking bare footed.

On the 26th of March, Kezia and I went down to the Church Museum with Michelle, Emma, Janelle, and Davis. The kids had a pretty good time playing in the kids part called "I am a child of God"

This was Kezia's favorite thing. She carried this baby all over the place. She sure is going to be a good help when her little sister comes.

Kezia loves going to Grandma and Grandpa Wilson's house. She loves the tramp and thinks it's funny to take off running to an edge when her daddy bounces the tramp with his hands and she falls down. The last month, Kezia has really gotten into her babies. She loves her little stroller, so we thought we should see how she does outside with it. Boy was it funny! She was on her way down the circle. Okay, so there will be a few of you who will be mad at me. However, I only feel bad that I haven't been honest with Michelle. As for Janelle and Stacey, you're lucky I am posting this now. I was going to wait a few more months just to get back at ya. Anyway, as you can see I had to take two test to be sure that the first one wasn't wrong. It wasn't!!!

Now here is the real deal!!! I have to say that I was so relieved to see just one!! I couldn't sleep very well for weeks because I was thinking that there just might be twins in there. It runs on both sides of my family and is in effect with my generation. The due date you all ask? Well, I think I might hold off on that just for a little suspense!

Gardner Village!

On Christmas Eve day, we thought it would be fun to go to Gardner Village to see the Elves. At first, we thought Kezia was liking them. As time went on though, she became afraid of them. It was really cute though!! Maybe next year she'll like it more. Anyway, here are a few pictures from our time at Gardner Village.

After the New Year, we had a get together with the gang from high school and our little families. We went sledding at Hunter Park. This was the first time for Kezia on a real hill...not our back yard. We all had fun!! Here is a picture of Bret and Kezia going to race Dean and Davis (Janelle's family).

Christmas this year was a lot more fun than last year with Kezia! We had to help her because if she couldn't see the present inside, she'd just take the present and walk around with it. So, we would barely open it so she could see there was something inside and then she'd go to town ripping it open.

Kezia loved the little cell phone we got her but don't let this picture fool you...only for a minute or until daddy opened up his screwdriver. Then that was her favorite toy the rest of the time.

Daddy got almost everything on his list and was happy!

Bret spoiled me!! I couldn't believe it. He got me the lens that I wanted along with a bunch of other stuff for my camera. Totally took me by surprise.

Kezia got a rocking horse from Grandma and Grandpa Wilson. At first she was afraid of it, but after some time she liked it. Now she loves it!

Turpin Christmas Party!

Our ward had their Christmas party Friday night and we had our family party on Saturday. With both of the parties came different surprises. As you can see in this picture, Santa was the surprise. I think Kezia is trying to figure out whether she likes him or not.

For the Turpin party (mom's family) came a surprise nobody would have ever guessed. That's right...The GRINCH!!!! If you know my family, you can probably guess who is behind the makeup and costume...if you can't guess, well, I'm not going to say!

Kezia was a little bit scared but I think she did well...as long as she couldn't really see the Grinch.

Kezia loves her play balls that her Grandma Ellett gave her for her birthday...especially when her dad is playing with her.

Kezia's first pig-tails! She looked so cute and so grown up that I had to snap a shot.

I recently found out that Kezia is definately an Ellett. She loves olives...especially when they are on her fingers. I get them out and she automatically puts her finger out for me to stick them on.

She also loves being outside! She now grabs her coat and brings it to me. As soon as we are out, she makes a mad dash down the drive way. This is a picture of her running up the driveway to me...smiling all the way!

It's a good thing we live in a circle because if I take my off this little girl for 5 seconds she is on her way into the circle street. She loves rocks and will pack them around forever!

One day I went outside to rake leaves thinking that maybe Kezia would like to play in them. Well, the moment I put her in them she started crying. She got in them only after I did. After a while she liked them. Here are a few of Kezia playing in the leaves.

My friend Janelle was so nice to spend her evening with us taking family pictures. Her and I didn't realize just how tough it would be with a one year old who just wants to walk and walk and walk. Fun at Wheeler Farm!

Tyona, my niece, stayed at our house over the weekend. I'd promised her a long time ago that we'd go and take some pictures of her. Saturday, we went to Wheeler Farm and had a blast! Tyona loved every minute of it! She is growing up so fast. As I took these pictures, I just kept thinking, "She is her mother's child!" Here are just a few of the hundreds we took.

I have been doing the P90X workout for a while now and Kezia watches me every day. The other day I start warming up and she goes and grabs a little 3 pounder and starts walking every where with it. I thought it was so cute!

Here I am doing a pushup thinking Kezia was just going to hangout. She had other plans!

As soon as I came up she crawled right underneath me and thought it was so funny as I tried to keep on going with her there.

We love going to ward parties when they give us the opportunity to dress up. With Halloween here, our traditional chili cook off was full of scary, crazy, and cute costumes. Take a look!

What a cute family! Actually, both times we have dressed up for this ward, people are always wondering who it is until we start talking.

My eyes were the coolest part of my costume...although the huge boots with a 4 inch platform that buckled all the way up to my knees were pretty cool too but I forgot to take a picture of those.

Once again, our cute little poodle. Oh, how she loved the candy! She couldn't even wait to get the wrapper taken off.

She thought Isaac was pretty funny looking in his green monster suit...little did she know what she looked like. ;-)

We had a fun time with Janelle and Davis at the Ogden Dinosaur Park. Boy did I really see the difference between a little boy and a little girl watching both Davis and Kezia. Davis loved sitting on the play dinosaurs and Kezia could care less. She enjoyed just walking around more than playing with the dinosaurs. Luckily, I got a few shots of Kezia.

It's official, Kezia is now ONE. Wow, was that one of the fastest years ever!!! We had a little party for Kezia and I thought I would be brave and attempt making a cake. My friend Stacey made a really cool looking cake for her little girl and I wanted to kind of do the same thing. So with some tips from her, I set out Monday afternoon to make Kezia a cool looking cake. After I had baked them and began to frost the cake I thought to myself, "Katrena, why didn't you just buy one?" However, with a bit more frosting and a little bit of decorations it turned out pretty good...at least I thought so. The best part was my mom's surprise. She never thought I could make such a cool looking cake. Anyway, here are some pictures of Kezia's party.

This is a short post but I thought I would update just a little. Kezia's favorite thing to do outside is climb up the slide. It's the first thing she heads for. She now knows how to climb up the 2x4 stairs and get onto the platform.

It's almost pointless to buy toys. I mean, why buy them when she's totally content with ordinary household items?

Well, here is a little clip from my cell phone of Kezia doing a little bit of walking. I think that she'll have it down by the end of the week...at least with her shoes off. It's funny because she won't take a lot of steps if we stand her up and try to make her, but if she wants something she'll take 5 or 6 steps to get it. I'm still not sure if we want her walking yet, but it sure is fun to watch her learn new things.

Kezia is so funny when she sees any dog. I was able to capture a little bit of what she is like. Hope you enjoy watching.

Labor Day weekend fun!

Over Labor Day weekend we went with Bret's family camping. It was really fun! Kezia enjoyed it and loved getting dirty! We went up to Ceder Hollow up behind Kamas. The weather was pretty good. We had a few off and on showers. One, while Bret and I were out on a four wheeler ride. We got dumped on and had to spend 15 minutes hiding under some trees. The one thing Bret really wanted to do for his birthday was go indoor sky diving. So we got a babysitter and headed down to Ogden. Anjelena wanted to really do it too so she met us there. Kezia went to the Hogle Zoo for the first time on July 23rd with Uncle Zac and Aunt Suzie and their family. She is so fun to watch because she loves animals and when she sees them she gets so excited she starts waving her hands and laughing. It is so cute!!

On July 20th, Kezia and I hiked up to Timpanogos Cave with Zac and his family and Anjelena and her family. It was a fun experience but boy was it a tough hike with a little one on your back!

We went up to This is the Place park. I just knew it was going to be fun...till Kezia rubbed sun block in her eye. Boy did I feel so bad and by these pictures you can see why. She could hardly open her eye and she was all splotchy.

We had the opportunity to go with Emily and Paul Otteson to their family 4th of July party. It was really fun! They had a home made ice cream contest and about 12 different kinds of flavors to try. When it got dark they had a program about our country and they retired a flag and had a firework show. It was really cool! Here's our cute family :-)

Busch Gardens

We had the opportunity to go to North Carolina for a week. We went to Busch Gardens with Zac's family. It was way fun!! Here are some pictures.

Moab Fun!

On April 23rd, we went to Moab with Janelle, Dean, and Davis Ayala, Michelle, Emmanuel, and Emma Knowles, and Charise and Greg Balls. It was really fun and our little ones were definately troopers. They did so good...especially during the day. Kezia loved her carrier and loved being outside and seeing all the cool things.

Janelle, Dean, me and Bret with our kids barely made it to Landscape Arch. It was so windy and we were getting beaten up by the sand. Luckily, I was able to get a few pictures of it.

Here is a picture of Bret, Kezia, and I under Delicate Arch. Yeah we look like midgets! It's incredible!!

My friends are so cool that they watched Kezia while me, Bret, and Emmanuel went on a bike ride to Gemini Bridges. We thought it was going to be so awesome. Well, to make a long story short it was a crazy day!! We lost Emmanuel almost at the begining of the ride, we came to a T in the road and couldn't figure out which way to go and our friends couldn't find our truck to shuttle it down for us. Kezia was screaming...which is not like her at all. This is a picture of Bret and I at Gemini Bridges.This is us waiting for our friends to pick us up at the bottom of the trail where our truck should have been. :-) Yeah, Emmanuel was nowhere to be found.

Yesterday, Janelle & I had a blast roaming the great streets of Salt Lake City looking for great places to take pictures of our beautiful babies!!! We went to the State Capitol, Memory Grove and Temple Square! We ran our kids to the ground! Here are a few of the adorable pictures of Kezia!!!

This is Kezia in her Easter outfit. I thought it was so cute so I had to buy it and with the flowers, it was perfect!

This is one of mine and Janelle's favorite!!

Just so you know, you can't have your shoes off on Temple Square....so says the security guard. Hee Hee Hee! He didn't know I had my feet in the water. :-)

So I know that most of these posts are of Kezia but she's the one changing the most. Bret and I still look the same...except for maybe a few more wrinkles and a gray hair or two. ;-) However, I swear Kezia changes every week, if not every day. So, that's why there are so many posts of her. When the weather gets better here in Salt Lake there will be more of all of us actually doing things so be patient and enjoy the pictures of Kezia!

Yep, Bret is really watching conference....maybe on the back of his eyelids. :-)

Kezia loves her jumper!! She's getting good at it. It's so funny to watch her. Her arms go flailing and she just laughs.

She also loves bath time! Same thing, she kicks her feet and flaps her arms loving the noise of the water.
